Freedom on the Fourth

Oliver was given the gifts of freedom and independence yesterday. For the past eight weeks, due to an infection, he has been on hospital "precautions", which has meant that he has not been permitted to leave his room for any reason other than for medical procedures. This confinement led to him using the label "field trips" to describe visits with his eye doctor or trips to the operating room for a biopsy.
Yesterday, this changed. Oliver still cannot leave the hospital but at least he can leave his room.
